  1. "A great love is a lot like a good memory. When it's there, and you know it's there, but it's just out of your reach, it can be all that you think about. Then you can focus on it and try to force it, but the more you do, the more you seem to push it away. But if you're patient and you hold still, well maybe, just maybe, it'll come to you. I just have to be somewhere she can find me. And I mean hell... if you have to live the rest of your life in a memory...you might as well make it a good one."

    This sounds very familiar...

I'll give you a hint. In earlier posts we were quoting things from this show.

I'M POSTING THIS QUOTE BECAUSE I LIKE IT :V

(I'm sure at least one person will know where this is from.)

    I loved that episode.

  3. Anyway!

I was going by this topic and decided to look into this competition, however, it was closed(37 gems, by the way). But, I was reading along what Artax was saying anyway.

Then, I found a grammatical mistake in his post.

    Find the error!

Members giving the correct answers on the poll will be entered into a draw on the 7th January 2012 where a random winner will be picked by a 3rd party.

    *drawing.
  4. In the corner of her eye, Amy flooded with relief as Nexi walked inside the tent, and after Draco finished Amy decided to introduce the two.

Looking at Nexi, she said: "Nexi! Welcome home, I was worried sick. I'd like you to meet Draco, the dragon-pony."

She looked back to Draco, disappointed that her plan was destroyed before it could even start. She sighed. Draco had few useful skills, it seemed. She promised him a job, but leaving him in camp was a death sentence. Her mind pushed the unloved Nexi to the front, and she suddenly knew what to do. "Draco, I sense no lies from you, and as long as Nexi doesn't object," Amy motioned her head to the zebra behind her. "You can help her with whatever she wants. You both have much in common, expecially the undeserved hatred from your peers, this could be very healthy for the two of you."

(I edited the post a lot so I didn't push any boundries)

  5. Her tent was disorganized, but it had to do until Zeke was replaced and sent back to the camp. She motioned for Draco to sit, and did the same. Before starting, she laughed aloud. Seeing the pony's confusion, she explained. "Of all the things I expected to do when I became a blacksmith, talking to a half-dragon whose life I saved was a bit further down the list."

Forcing herself to be more serious, she started the questioning. She decided to ask them all at once and see if his will broke, if not then her new plan could come into action(don't bother reading earlier posts, this is the first time I mentioned this). "How old are you? Are you lab made? If not, are either of your parents dragons? Can you fly? Have you ever encountered a dragon? If so, was he hostile, friendly, or neither? Is your first instinct to fight or flee? CAN you fight? Which side do you support? How convincing a speaker are you? What do you normally do for a job?" She stopped to breath, waiting for his response to her ruthless questioning.

  6. She stared at the small pony for a long while before finally deciding what to do. She turned to the crowd and yelled "get back to your tents, there is nothing to see here!" She waited until the group dispersed before helping the young pony up.

"You have no idea how many would want you dead just because of those." She put his cloak on to cover his wings. "Do not look anyone in the eye and follow me, I intend to question you. After that, so long as you speak the truth, you will be given a job and a home."

  7. Amy Ironhooves had just finished another council meeting, and (for once) it was actually productive. All four attending councilors had finally agreed on an heir to take Storm Dragon’s place once the war was finished. Unless another (hidden) child of Princess Fluttershy was found, General Hurricane would rule Equestria. Nearly every other topic involved arguing (especially one involving where to strike first), but at least one major thing was out of the way.

She was on her way home when she heard a young voice call for help. Instinct immediately kicked in and she ran toward the call, dagger at the ready. She was shocked by what she saw.

It was a hybrid, a monster, surrounded by citizens and soldiers alike, most calling out for a lynching or taunting it. Luckily it was covered by a net, but the sight still made her uneasy. It had a pony’s body, sure, but the wings were undoubtedly those of a dragon.

After a moment she realized something—the yell for help came from it. After some internal debating she ordered everyone to back away and approached it herself. It was young, possibly a colt, but it was more than likely just a young stallion. Every part of his body looked innocent, aside from the wings, of course. They looked as though they could cut stone to shreds.

The crowd hushed when she was in front of him, staring into his eyes. She expected to find some darkness inside them, but instead, to her shock, found innocence and loneliness written inside.

She removed the net (to the crowd’s shock and disgust) and talked to him. “I am Councilor Amy Ironhooves, you look innocent, but make one false move and you will be lifeless in seconds.” She followed up by asking for his name and how long he had been in the camp.
